When it comes to predictive text, there are those who can’t do without it, while for others, it is just a real pain whereby you are conversing in English but the thing throws up incoherent words you have no idea what they mean.
The auto correction feature helps you to reduce typing errors by suggesting the correct word or correcting wrong spellings. If you are like us though, this is a feature that just gets in the way but fortunately, we can turn it around.
Here is how you can turn off autocorrect in your Sony Xperia Z3:
Open Settings and go to Language & Input.
You will encounter a list of available keyboards and input methods. On the right of Xperia keyboard, tap the gear icon next to it.
This will bear several options, among them, Word Suggestions. Tap it and specify the level of word suggestion or auto correction you desire. If you want to totally turn off autocorrect, then opt for the ‘I don’t want any help when writing, not even suggestions’ choice.
That should do it for you.
